DevOps consulting in Berlin

The app runs on your laptop. Live, things get noisy: manual deploys, a server nobody quite understands, backups you would not trust. I set up the path from development into production so you can follow it.

This is hands-on work on the stack, not slide consulting. Docker, CI/CD, and deployment, close to the app. Packages and guideline prices sit on the infrastructure page. Ongoing care after that sits in Care.

Typical starting point

Deploys by hand
Copy files, SSH, hope. One missed step and Friday night the site is down. A pipeline takes that ritual away.
An unclear server
Access, services, and updates live in one person's head. If that person is away, the system stalls. Short docs and a path you can follow change that.
Missing backups or monitoring
A restore you never tested is not a backup. Without monitoring you learn about downtime when customers write.
Containers that only run locally
Compose starts on the laptop. In production, network, volumes, secrets, or the reverse proxy are missing. That is the gap I close.
Nobody owns it after launch
The site is live, the project is closed. Updates, certificates, and full disks still wait. That is what Care is for, not unpaid follow-up by default.

What I actually do

I look at what is already running, cut the scope, and implement. You keep the access.

  • Docker and Docker Compose so staging and production take the same path
  • VPS and Linux servers with access you can follow, not a black box
  • Nginx as a reverse proxy so the app is reachable over HTTPS
  • GitHub Actions and CI/CD for build and deploy, without a copy-paste ritual
  • Monitoring and backups, including a restore test where the scope allows it
  • Security updates and sensible hardening, not theatre around every CVE
  • Deployment of Next.js and Strapi apps when that is the stack

What is not included

DevOps consulting and infra setup are installation and automation. Not included:

  • 24/7 on-call without a Care agreement
  • Managed Kubernetes when a VPS is enough
  • full app development (that is the web packages)
  • legal advice on hosting or data-processing agreements
